Hello, winter! Hello, Zadar! Let the bright lights of the city bring you calm and joy in the cool months ahead. Check the events you can attend and enjoy in the coming winter months, end of 2023 and beginning of 2024:
Advent in Zadar
Zadar does not hibernate in winter. Quite the contrary. The city offers Advent weeks of pure joy, fairytale moments, concerts & delicious food. Starting from the end of November 2023 all the way through to January 6 2024, not a day goes by without fun moments to experience.
Zadar Christmas Market
Bright lights, charming market stalls, ambience of joy and celebrations spreading through the historical peninsula from Petar Zoranić and Five Wells squares! All December long, till January 6 2024. This is where you get the chance to delight in irresistible Dalmatian delicacies, popular street food, international and vegan cuisine, not to mention yummy sweet treats.

And that’s not all. This is where your children can take part in Christmas-themed workshops, see the arrival of St Lucy and Santa Claus, not to mention celebrate the arrival of New Year in the child-friendly time zone - at noon. It is also where various traditional Dalmatian klapa bends and popular national musicians take the stage and spread the great vibes - featuring Matija Cvek (December 15), Rišpet (December 16), Vatra (December 30). Jole, a Dalmatian singer well-known for creating excellent party ambiance on his concerts, is going to headline the program on New Year’s Eve.
Višnjik Winter Park
Ice skating while at the seaside? Yes, it’s possible! Namely, the city of Zadar has an exciting winter park operating throughout December till January 7 2024 at the Višnjik Sports Centre. Give it your best at the ice rink, go down the ice slide, laugh it out at the fun park or with pony and donkey rides. Then, when you feel peckish, grab a juicy bite to eat on a food stand.

Zadar Christmas Run
Are you an avid runner? Then put on your Santa hat and a red T-shirt, and join in hundreds of enthusiastic runners on a route from Puntamika to the central Christmas point on the historical peninsula. Zadar Christmas Run takes place on December 16 2023.
Futsal Winter Fest Zadar
Whether you love the thrill of football or not, don’t miss the chance to see a futsal match from December 26 2023 to January 8 2024 at the Višnjik Sports Centre. Pure fun and excitement are a promise, as 64 teams from across Croatia take the sports stage and heat up the winter ambiance.
